Architectural Planning & Building Design
Interior & Exterior Design
Genevieve Wells
BA (Hons) FCIAT (Fellow)
In 2005 Genevieve graduated in Interior Architecture at the Farnham University of Creative Arts. Whilst studying she worked part time for several architects to develop her CAD skills and to put her ahead of her peers once she had graduated.
In the early part of her career she worked as an Interior designer specialising in the office, retail and leisure sector. She then changed paths to focus on residential architecture. Once she had established a good reputation as an architectural technician she was head hunted several times by large developers such as Crest Nicolson, Michael Shanley and eventually she accepted a role as a technical coordinator for Redrow Homes.
This opened up many avenues and contacts for the future. In 2008 she was offered a position as a designer with a Farnham Architect working on high end residential houses.
In 2009 she branched out on her own and became a multi-award winner for ‘Best in Service and ‘Architectural Designer’. Genevieve is now 1 of only 16 female Fellow Architectural Technologists (out of 8629 members globally) due to her dedication to the industry and becoming the first member to win Architectural Technologist of Europe in the Women in Construction and Engineering Awards 2015. In 2023 the chance to partner up with Axminster Design and Build came along and the opportunity to work alongside each other is a very exciting opportunity for Genevieve and her team as well as us.
